While in High Point I of course had to check out the showroom of one my favorite upholstery furniture lines Lee Industries (Just in case you missed my original post on Lee and why I like them, you can check it out here…LoveLEE Furniture). I could not wait to see their new introductions but even more so I couldn’t wait to see their “details”. Lee is very “designer friendly”. What this means is not only can we be very creative in the fabrics we choose and how they are applied but there are many other details that can be considered too. You of course have the various wood finishes and cushion fills to choose from but you also have banding, tacks, nails, stitch type, welt options, etc. I really enjoyed seeing how they applied these details to the pieces in their showroom. Check out some of these details along with some new introductions that caught my eye…..
This is the new shin chair. Can you guess what it’s for? Nope, not your kids, even though I’m sure they’ll enjoy sitting in it too. It’s for placing near your fireplace to warm your shins! And yes men can sit in it comfortably. How cool.
Great zebra print with nail head detail in a greek key pattern. I recently placed two of these under a client’s sofa table. It’s a great look plus adds extra seating when you need it.
Here are some details. This is a band with small nails. They add a nice custom touch.
An ottoman that I believe was upholstered with a wool rug (I should have taken better notes). A great look that is durable too.
Lee introduced some great poufs…
Their new caramel leather is gorgeous. I also like how they covered the chair legs with leather in the first picture.
A more contemporary version of a tufted chair. A very deep seat so great for tall people.
Here’s a modernized version of a knole sofa. Typically they have hinged sides tied with a rope with tassels. This modern version is not hinged and the back is lowered to improve a view say out a window.
I was also loving all their new blue and white fabrics. The first one is my favorite which I like with the nail detail.
Here they used two different fabrics.
Here they used three different fabrics, a band down the middle and a band along the bottom of the skirt.
Nice nail detail.
Again, my favorite blue and white fabric on another chair…
They showed some new bold colors. The first chair with a contrast welt.
This one with a top stitch for a more casual feel.
Great banding detail on this slipcovered piece.
A nice application of fabric on this slipcovered ottoman.
A very pretty new chair with banding and nail details.
Here it is again in leather.
They now offer a sectional with the very popular english arm.
A chair with english arms, topstitch and nail detail.
They also introduced some beautiful grey fabrics. Here is their new beautiful grey leather.
A crushed velvet sofa. So cozy!
For this chair they put a grey leather on the back with a grey shearling on the front and seat. It’s like the Ugg boot has turned into a chair! Heaven!!
I now have samples of all their new fabrics!!!
Thank you Debbie for your hospitality! LoveLEE indeed!
I also want to mention the very talented photographer, Ginny Kuhn, will be showing her photographs at the Big Vanilla in Arnold, MD on Wednesday, April 13th, 7 am – 7 pm. Check out an earlier post on her work here…Local Talent I.
Have a great rest of the week,
