Melissa McLay, Founder

Melissa grew up in a Navy family, moving frequently and watching her mother transform bland houses into beautiful, comfortable homes using classic furnishings and unique pieces collected from their travels. This early exposure, along with a childhood love for decorating dollhouses, planted the seeds for her future in design.

After a successful 17-year corporate career, Melissa returned to school to study architecture and interior design. In 2009, she launched Melissa McLay Interiors, offering luxury residential design services in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia, while following her clients wherever they need her.

Over the past decade, her firm has completed hundreds of projects, including new construction, full renovations, and tailored design services. Their work has been featured in prestigious show houses, design magazines, and newspapers.

Melissa lives in Severna Park, Maryland with her family. They enjoy traveling and boating on the Chesapeake Bay.
